India, Sept. 21 -- Meditation can seem difficult when you feel like you are supposed to clear your mind, sit perfectly still or stay focused for a long time. In reality, you do not have to get everything right from the beginning. You can simply sit down, slow your pace and give yourself a few quiet minutes. With regular practice, even these small pauses can become a meaningful part of your day.

A busy mind does not mean you are meditating incorrectly. Meditation is about noticing what is happening in your mind rather than trying to force every thought away. Thoughts will come and go, and your role is simply to notice them and gently bring your attention back to the present.
