Johnny Somali case: US streamer's mom requests judge for leniency ahead of South Korea sentencing
India, April 1 -- The mother of American live streamer Johnny Somali, whose real name is Ramsey Khalid Ismael, has appealed to the South Korean court to show leniency in her son's sentencing. The sentencing is scheduled for April 15, 2026.
Somali is facing several charges in the country after he streamed himself disturbing the peace. Dexerto reported that according to lawyer and YouTuber Legal Mindset, Somali's mother submitted a petition for leniency on her son's behalf.
Somali is facing four charges of interference of business, two charges for violating the Minor Crimes Act, and two charges of sexual violence crimes.
Somali is accused of having streamed himself playing offensive noises on the subway, including speeches by North Korea...
