India, July 24 -- Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU has urged the students to refrain from participating in protests at Jantar Mantar, citing safety concerns and the legal implications of joining unlawful assemblies.

The university said demonstrations at Jantar Mantar are strictly regulated in accordance with the Supreme Court's directives and warned that participation in unlawful gatherings could invite legal action and adversely affect students' academic progress and future professional opportunities.
