Jharkhand student leader Mahto clashes with police, says stopped from attending I-Day event
India, Aug. 15 -- Jharkhand student leader Devendra Nath Mahto was reportedly prevented from leaving the hospital to join the Tiranga Yatra held at Jaipal Singh Munda stadium in Ranchi on the occasion of Independence Day. As the police's attempt to stall him resulted in a scuffle, Mahto alleged that he had suffered injuries to his chest.
The Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) leader, who has been on a hunger strike since August 2, was stopped by police when he tried to leave the Sadar Hospital.
