jharkhand mla booked for remarks against CM's mother

Ranchi, Oct. 6 -- Garhwa MLA Satyendranath Tiwari was booked for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Rupi Soren, mother of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, officials said Monday. The FIR was registered at Ranka police station on a complaint by Shravan Singh Kharwar, who alleged Tiwari made objectionable comments in a YouTube video on September 28 that later went viral. Police booked Tiwari under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and relevant BNS sections. SP Ashutosh Shekhar said the video and allegations were being verified. Tiwari denied making derogatory remarks, saying, "Now when that the FIR has been registered let the proper investigation be completed." raj kumar
