India, April 19 -- Confusion ensued over whether or not US Vice President JD Vance will lead a delegation for a second round talks with Iran in Pakistan, as President Donald Trump said "no" at first on Sunday in at least two interviews. The White House later told another news channel that Vance "will attend" the talks in Pakistan along with Trump's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Trump had denied that the vice president would attend the latest round of talks, saying that it was due to security concerns. Later, an unnamed White House official was quoted as saying by CNN: "Things changed."
