Srinagar, Aug. 24 -- The BJP on Sunday held a meeting of state office-bearers in Srinagar to discuss the future of the party and devise a strategy to make the party more vibrant and strong across J&K.

With 28 legislators, the BJP is the main opposition party in J&K and the two-day meet is also seen as an attempt at expansion for upcoming political and organisational programmes.

J&K BJP president and MP Sat Sharma (CA) chaired the meeting. It was attended by Union minister Dr Jitendra Singh, leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, and former deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh.
