India, Oct. 27 -- A Jackson County, W.Va., couple is facing multiple charges after an investigation into the alleged physical and emotional abuse of three children ranging in age from 12 to 17. The abuse took place over the course of several years, the sheriff's office said.

Erica Lynn Sayre, 45, and Clifford Gale Sayre, 45, both of Evans, W.Va., were each charged with three counts of felony child abuse resulting in bodily injury and three counts of felony child neglect creating risk of injury, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
