New Delhi, March 22 -- More than 250 sailors of the Iranian Navy have been stuck in Sri Lanka since the start of the US-Israeli war against Iran, NYT reported on Saturday. The Sri Lankan government has kept the sailors, who include survivors of an Iranian warship torpedoed by a US submarine, in protective custody, NYT reported.
Iran's ambassador has asked Sri Lanka to repatriate them, but Sri Lanka does not wish to antagonise the US and so it has still not figured out what to do with the sailors, NYT reported. htc
