India, March 17 -- The Iranian football federation is working closely with FIFA, and the negotiations have begun to relocate the team's upcoming World Cup matches from the United States to Mexico. Iran has cited the reason as the ongoing conflict in West Asia, where the tensions continue to flare between Iran and the USA/Israel. The development was confirmed on Tuesday by Iran's embassy in Mexico. Iran's participation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup is unclear ever since the war began in the Middle East last month.
