India, Sept. 6 -- An intern at a Big 4 firm in Mumbai has shared an unusual workplace experience on Reddit, claiming that a manager asked about their caste during their internship.

The post was shared on Reddit. The caption read, "I was interning at a Big 4 when one of my managers asked me what my caste was. Honestly, I was really caught off guard. I didn't even know what to say at the time. Maybe they meant it casually, but I found it pretty weird, especially coming from a manager at work.

"What surprised me even more was that this happened in Mumbai. I just never expected someone to ask me something like that in a professional setting.
