Industrial production rises 6.7% in July
New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Growth in India's industrial output moderated to 6.7% in July after recording a 27-month high of 8.8% in June, according to Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Friday.
Despite the loss in momentum, the July growth rate was faster than the growth rates seen from January to May, ruling out any big impact from the war in West Asia. However, experts were cautious about future growth because of an uncertain external environment and challenges from a dry monsoon season.
