New Delhi, June 13 -- Jaspal Rana, the Asian Games gold medallist shooter who later guided Manu Bhaker to her historic double bronze-medal feat at the Paris Olympics as a coach, has died. He was 49.
Fellow shooters and coaches recalled both Rana's brilliance on the range and his role in shaping the next generation of talent. "Jaspal, the athlete, was a natural. Everything looked so effortless," Suma Shirur, Rana's former teammate, told HT.P25
