India, Feb. 28 -- India's minister of civil aviation K Ram Mohan Naidu has "undertaken a comprehensive review of preparedness and response measures" amid conflict spreading across the Middle East/West Asia region after the US-Israeli joint strikes on Iran. Airports are on "operational alert" and an advisory by the regulator has asked airlines to suspend operations to the region till March 2.

In the safety advisory, 'Risk to Civil Aviation in Middle East and Persian Gulf Airspace', the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) referred to "significant escalation in security risks".

Among "critical hazards", it listed "potential attacks against US and Israeli assets in the region, affecting both Iranian airspace and neighboring states"...
