India runs on principle of equal respect for all: bhagwat
Bhopal, Sept. 19 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said that India's concept of Dharma is different from the western notion of religion and added that in India runs on the principle of 'Sarva Panth Sama-bhav' (equal respect for all religions).
Addressing a Yuva Dharma Sansad in Ujjain on Friday, Bhagwat said, "Religion is not Dharma. Dharma is above religion. It means Dharma is not some worship or ritual, it is a discipline, a Code of Conduct that keeps everyone united."
Bhagwat said all Indian rulers governed by following Dharma. "India has always followed Dharma. No matter which ideology's government was there, India's behaviour has remained the same."
