New Delhi, May 26 -- India Post and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) recorded strong revenue growth in 2025-26, with the postal department's income rising to Rs.15,373 crore and BSNL's revenue increasing to Rs.25,000 crore, Union Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said. Pemmasani, in an interview with Doordarshan, said India Post's revenue rose to Rs.15,373 crore in 2025-26 from around Rs.11,500 crore in 2016-17. He added that revenue increased by Rs.2,100 crore in the past year alone, marking one of the strongest annual gains in recent years.
