PATNA, Aug. 1 -- The Nepal Railway Company has suspended train services between Jayanagar (India) and Janakpur (Nepal) after clashes erupted in Sunsari and other neighbouring border districts in Nepal, officials said on Friday. Jaynagar Railway Station superintendent of Nepali Railways SL Meena confirmed that train services were suspended after curfew was imposed in Dhanusha district earlier in the day. An official from the Nepal Railway has also written to the Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force and the Sashastra Seema Bal and the station master in Jayanagar to ensure safety of two empty train racks stored for security reasons at Jayanagar station.
