RAXAUL/BIRGANJ, March 4 -- As Nepal heads into another crucial election, the mood on the streets reflects a mix of hope, frustration and cautious optimism. In the bustling marketplaces of Parsa and Bara districts in Nepal's Terai region - which account for eight of Nepal's parliamentary seats - unemployment, cost of essential goods and political instability dominate conversations as voters prepare to cast their ballots.
However, no single party appears dominant in the two Terai districts. "You cannot run the government by emotions and tearing down all the established institutions. We need a matured political party and political will to lead a country," said Saroj Chaurasia, 38, a resident of Sedhwa village in Parsa district.
