New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- India's imports of petroleum products from the US, mainly LPG, surged 254% year-on-year to $2.60 billion in the first quarter of 2026-27, even as crude oil imports from the country fell 57.5% to $1.57 billion during the same period, according to government data. The rise in April-June was partly driven by global energy supply disruptions linked to the war in West Asia.P14
