MUMBAI, March 26 -- In the IPL captains' meeting at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, the Impact Player rule turned out to be one of the main points of discussion with some captains expressing reservations about it. While the League will have the same playing conditions as last season, the customary meeting was held to ensure clarity and uniform understanding of rules. In 2024 the BCCI had extended the Impact Player rule until 2027. But, not everyone is convinced about the rule as it is affecting the role of allrounders.
