IIT-K's Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology: After rRs.r100 Cr donation, alumnus commits another rRs.r300 Cr
KANPUR, Aug. 24 -- Co-founder of IndiGo airlines and an alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Rakesh Gangwal will contribute Rs.300 crore to the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology at IITK, supporting medical education, research, clinical innovation and MedTech.
This follows his earlier Rs.100 crore contribution in 2022 which supported the institute's plans to establish a medical school on campus, taking his cumulative contribution towards the Gangwal School to Rs.400 crore. IIT-K extended very special thanks to Gangwal (BT/ME/1975) for the philanthropic contribution toward his alma mater.
