IIT Delhi student dies by suicide on campus, second such case since March: Police
India, Aug. 22 -- A 31-year-old Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) student pursuing a master's in science allegedly died by suicide on the south Delhi campus on Saturday morning, police said.
Deputy commissioner of police (southwest) Amit Goel said that at around 8:33 am on Saturday, the police control room received a call regarding a student who jumped from the sixth floor of the Lecture Hall Complex at the IIT Delhi campus. The call was transferred to Kishangarh police station because the campus comes under its territorial jurisdiction.
