India, July 22 -- The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) has approved the transfer of around 400 square metres of land in Sector 33 to Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) for the construction of the Gurugram metro depot, officials said on Tuesday.

The land forms part of a 220kV power substation and will be transferred on the condition that the electrical equipment located on it is shifted at GMRL's expense, a senior HVPNL official said, requesting anonymity.
