India, Aug. 6 -- Periods can be painful, and several medicines are available on the market that can be helpful. However, in India, painful periods are often dismissed as normal, which isn't a surprise considering the taboo attached with it. As a result, for many years, women tend to normalise their pain without consulting a doctor.
