India, Aug. 29 -- Sages, saints and scholars since time immemorial have sung to the glory of the Himalaya. The great sage-scholar Ved Vyasa did all his writing in Badri Van (Badrinath). The great Sanskrit scholar Kalidas was born, according to some, in Kali Math in Kedarnath valley.
