India, April 10 -- All five assembly constituencies with the highest percentage of deletion from the pre-adjudication stage to post-adjudication in West Bengal were in the Muslim-majority districts of Murshidabad and Malda, an analysis of the removals in the controversial "logical discrepancy" category in the poll-bound state showed on Thursday.
Nearly 2.71 million of the six million people flagged under the "logical discrepancy" category were removed from the rolls, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced earlier this week.
