India, Nov. 6 -- US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has pushed back against renewed calls for his impeachment, dismissing the effort as "political theatre" and vowing that pressure from Democrats and Republican critics would not force him out of the Trump administration.

In a video message posted on X, Hegseth directly addressed the impeachment threat from Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who has indicated that he plans to reintroduce articles of impeachment against the defense secretary next week unless he resigns.

"Didn't work against President Trump, and it won't work with me. You can rest assured of that," Hegseth said, referring to previous impeachment attempts against Trump.
