India, Oct. 7 -- Heavy rain lashed Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) on Tuesday, with the India Meteorological Department issuing an orange alert for parts of the city.
According to IMD's nowcast warnings, an alert has been sounded for North Delhi, North East Delhi, Central Delhi, New Delhi, South Delhi, South East Delhi, and Gurugram.
The weather department's warning said that moderate rainfall accompanied by light thunderstorms and lightning, at the a speed of 30-40 Km/h, is very likely to occur in the entire capital and NCR areas.
The alert was also sounded for Sonipat, Kharkhoda, Farukhnagar, Bagpat, and Khekhra.
