Toronto, July 9 -- A US Department of Justice (DOJ) indictment on Tuesday brought to light for the first time the details of the Dhanda gang, a British Columbia-based criminal network accused of smuggling and distributing large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine across North America. Following the indictment, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested three alleged members of the gang, including its leader, 57-year-old Ravinder Singh Dhanda of Vancouver. The three appeared in court on Tuesday and are scheduled for bail hearings later this week. Eight other individuals linked to the network have also been charged.
