New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- Delhi High Court on Thursday agreed to hear on Friday the Indian Youth Congress's (IYC) president Uday Bhanu Chib's plea challenging the Delhi Police's decision denying permission for its a protest at Jantar Mantar against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). "It will be listed in 24 hours. If not listed, mention," the court said to the IYC's lawyer. On October 1, the Delhi Police rejected the IYC's September 25 request to hold a peaceful demonstration involving approximately 100-150 persons, despite the IYC undertaking to comply with all lawful conditions relating to security, traffic management, discipline, and maintenance of public order. htc
