New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- The Delhi high court on Wednesday questioned a single judge's direction requiring legal database platform Indian Kanoon to de-index and disable name-based searches for court records across its platforms and domains to implement the "right to be forgotten", while permitting such searches through different indexes. De-indexing is a directive issued to a private platform that merely removes the concerned name as a searchable retrieval key, thereby restricting easy access through name-based searches.
