New Delhi, July 10 -- The Delhi High Court on Thursday, as part of eviction proceedings concerning the 7.58-acre property at Sujan Singh Park in central Delhi, which includes the iconic Ambassador Hotel, issued notice in a petition challenging a show-cause notice (SCN) issued by the estate officer. A bench of Justice Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar sought the Centre's response in a plea filed by Sir Sobha Singh and Sons Pvt Ltd, the owners of the property, against the notice dated June 11. In it, the estate officer called upon the company to explain why an eviction order should not be passed against it.
