BENGALURU, Sept. 9 -- The Karnataka High Court has allowed a private complaint alleging irregularities in the allotment of a civic amenity site in Bengaluru to a trust associated with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and his family to proceed, rejecting a plea to stop the proceedings. The dispute concerns an 8,125-sq-m site in Banashankari allotted by the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) to the Siddhartha Vihar Trust. The complainant, Vijayraghava Marathe, has alleged violations in the allotment process and questioned a concession that reduced the lease consideration.
