Haryana sanitation staff strike : After govt action, workers threaten to intensify stir
ROHTAK, Sept. 9 -- The Haryana government's action against striking sanitation workers, including suspensions, terminations, FIRs and deployment of agency workers, has failed to break the prolonged agitation, with union leaders now threatening to intensify the stir unless the government implements the 17-point agreement reached with employees on May 13.
Nagar Palika Karmchari Sangh Haryana state president Naresh Shastri on Tuesday hit out at the government over its handling of the strike, accusing ministers of resorting to political theatrics instead of addressing the workers' demands.
