Haryana RERA gives four-month extension to real estate projects amid West Asia crisis, developers welcome move
India, Aug. 12 -- The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA), Gurugram, has granted a four-month extension to the completion timelines of eligible real estate projects registered with the authority, citing the prevailing situation in West Asia and its impact on construction material supply chains.
The order, dated August 11, 2026, said the disruption has resulted in a shortage of construction materials and is adversely affecting the regular development of real estate projects.
Under the order, the completion date, revised completion date or extended completion date of every real estate project registered with the authority that falls on or after February 28, 2026, will stand automatically extended by four months. The authority...
