India, Sept. 29 -- Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal on Monday said all vacancies in the state police would be filled in a phased manner by 2030, with Rs.4,000 crore to be spent on police infrastructure development and modernisation by then.

Singhal, who was in Gurugram to inaugurate a new building for the Sector-17/18 police station in Sector-17 on MG Road, said 26% of posts in the state police were currently vacant.

"5500 personnel were recruited last year. An equal count of recruitment will be made this year too," he said.

"4000 cops are to be recruited by November this year, and 6000 more will be appointed by March next year," Singhal said, adding that "a 10000-12000 vacancy will remain against retiring personnel, whi...
