Haryana, Services win, Delhi hold edge versus Himachal
New Delhi, Oct. 27 -- Delhi wicketkeeper Anuj Rawat and Sumit Mathur struck fifties to help the hosts post 430 before Himachal Pradesh responded strongly to reach 165/3 on Day 2 of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group D tie at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground on Sunday. A century was missing but six half-centuries in the innings mirrored consistent batting.
Resuming on 306/4, Delhi could add only 124 runs while Himachal pacers Vaibhav Arora (4/78) and Arpit Guleria (4/106) shared the last six wickets on the second day. Himachal opener Sidhant Purohit hit 70 after giving his team a solid start, but seasoned Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini (2/20) dismissed him late in the day. Himachal were 165/3 at stumps.
