Gzb authorities raze madrasa built on govt land in Dasna
Ghaziabad, June 4 -- The Ghaziabad district administration on Wednesday demolished an allegedly illegal madrasa built on government land in Kallugarhi near Dasna, officials said.
The structure, spread across about one hectare of a five-hectare government plot, was razed using earthmovers amid heavy security deployment.
District magistrate Ravinder Kumar Mandar said the administration had also issued a recovery notice of Rs.1.23 crore and estimated the land's value at around Rs.25 crore.
The action comes days after authorities sealed two madrasas in Khoda and filed FIRs.
Around 1,000 personnel, including members of the Provincial Armed Constabulary, were deployed to maintain law and order during the operation.
