Shimla, April 2 -- The Outpatient Department (OPD) of the Department of Gynecology has been formally inaugurated and made operational today, April 1, 2026 at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla.

This was done in accordance with the directives of the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Previously, the Gynecology OPD services were available exclusively at the Kamla Nehru State Hospital, Shimla.

In a statement issued by the hospital on Wednesday, "Effective today, these OPD services will be available on the second floor of Block-A at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla.
