Group's market cap tripled under Chandrasekaran
Mumbai, Aug. 13 -- As India's largest conglomerate prepares for a leadership transition, the numbers behind N. Chandrasekaran's nine years at the helm of the Tata Group tell a story of significant value creation.
The group's combined market capitalization has more than tripled since he took charge in 2017, while net profit has risen nearly five-fold and revenue almost doubled. Chandrasekaran on Wednesday announced his resignation seven months before his second term ends in February.
