New Delhi, March 2 -- Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue saw 8.1% annual growth to about Rs.1.84 lakh crore in February, driven by consumption after massive tax rate cuts in September, which compensated for a sharper revenue fall in absolute terms due to GST slab rationalisation. In February this year, gross collection came to Rs.1,83,609 crore, compared to Rs.1,69,779 crore in the same month last year (after adjusting the compensation cess amount from February 2025 revenue for like-to-like comparison), according to government data released on Sunday.
