However, relying heavily on packaged and ultra-processed foods can have long-term health implications, and you may be consuming them regularly without realising how they could affect your gut health.

Dr Parameshwara C M, a colorectal surgeon and gut health expert specialising in piles, fissures, fistulas and perianal abscesses, is highlighting eight foods he recommends avoiding for better long-term gut health.
