Govt reviews Delhi airport's hub-and-spoke plan readiness
New Delhi, April 24 -- Civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review the readiness of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for the rollout of a hub-and-spoke model that aims to position India as a premier global transit destination.
Speaking about the government's hub vision, Naidu said, "At present, nearly 35% of international passengers travelling from India transit through foreign hubs such as Dubai, London and Singapore.
