Govt renames old Delhi heritage body, okays civic infra upgrades
New Delhi, July 10 -- The Delhi government has officially renamed the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC) - the body tasked with protecting and restoring the heritage of Old Delhi - as Indraprastha Virasat Redevelopment Corporation (IVPN) and approved a series of measures aimed at preserving the area's heritage while upgrading civic infrastructure.
The decisions were taken at the annual general meeting of the corporation chaired by chief minister Rekha Gupta.
