New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- The Delhi government is planning to increase the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers and helpers, a move that could benefit more than 21,000 frontline functionaries working across the Capital, an official said on Thursday.
Anganwadi workers presently receive a total monthly amount of Rs.12,720, comprising an honorarium of Rs.11,220 and Rs.1,500 as conveyance and communication allowance. Helpers receive Rs.6,810, including Rs.5,610 honorarium and Rs.1,200 allowance. The rates were fixed in March 2022.
According to government data, Anganwadi workforce is of 21,350, comprising workers and helpers.htc
