Goa: Mini Cooper hits bike; 23-yr-old killed
India, April 7 -- A 23-year-old woman was killed in Goa's Panjim after the motorcycle she was travelling in was allegedly hit by a speeding Mini Cooper S, police said on Monday, adding that the 21-year-old driver of the car has been arrested. The incident took place on Sunday night in Dona Paula area of Panjim when Diksha Parwadkar, an employee at the Taj Convention Centre, was on her way home from work. The accused, Darius Dias, the son of a local businessman, was reportedly speeding when he allegedly rammed his car into the bike, killing Parwadkar and grievously injuring her colleague D Arunkumar who was riding the motorcycle.
