India, April 15 -- Global power generation from fossil fuels fell in the first month (March) after the Strait of Hormuz closure as the US-Israel attack on Iran escalated into a regional conflict and disrupted critical supply chains, said a Helsinki-based nonprofit think tank Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) analysis released on Wednesday. Increases in solar and wind power rather than coal offset the fall in gas-fired generation.
