India, July 22 -- Gianni Infantino is facing renewed demands to step down as FIFA president, with La Liga chief Javier Tebas and former FIFA boss Sepp Blatter launching stinging attacks on his leadership following a controversy-filled 2026 World Cup.

The calls come days after Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the World Cup final, bringing the first 48-team edition of the tournament to an end.
