India, April 3 -- Ghaziabad officials on Thursday said 5kg LPG cylinders, popularly known as "Chhotu cylinder", have been made available at different gas agencies.

District supplies department officials said the Ghaziabad district currently has 1.2 million regular LPG connections and 0.35 million piped gas connections.

"The small cylinders will improve access for migrants and those settled in Ghaziabad from outside districts. People can get a connection by submitting their Aadhaar card copy, proof of residence along with a security deposit of Rs.968. The gas cylinder will be available for Rs.555," Amit Tiwari, district supplies officer, told HT.
