Gehlot accuses Meena, Beniwal of bid to topple Cong govt; both deny
Jaipur, Aug. 31 -- Rajasthan agriculture minister Kirodi Lal Meena and the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) chief Hanuman Beniwal wanted to topple the Congress-led state government in 2020, former chief minister Ashok Gehlot alleged on Saturday.
The remarks came a day after Meena and Beniwal were caught trading barbs during a television debate over the cancellation of the 2021 sub-inspector recruitment examination in Rajasthan. Meena had provided evidence of the leaks to the Special Operations Group probing the matter; while Beniwal was leading protests demanding justice for those affected. The two also accused each other of being "lootera" (robber).
